Online Inventory Manager/Photographer (Full Time or Part Time)

Articulate & Awesome with Spreadsheets required.
Advanced level skier or rider.
This will be a fun and rewarding job for the right person!
We are looking for someone who can excel at:

  • Managing inventory on an Excel Spreadsheet
  • Uploading inventory to our website
  • Writing accurate product descriptions
  • Adding products to eBay and other sales channels
  • Take product photos

Requirements:

  • Proficient at Excel

Tuning Manager and Assistant Tuning Manager

These positions will require you to make sure all skis are tuned to Utah Ski Gear’s standards.
As a manager, you will be responsible for training and educating employees in our processes. You will need a functioning knowledge of how to use ski tuning machinery. You will also be called upon to perform scheduling maintenance, and keep track of inventory and supplies.
Prior ski tuning experience a must.

Gear Handler

Utah SKI Gear currently has 1 open position.
This is an entry level position with lots of room for growth in our tightly knit and rapidly growing company.

During the summer we get new and used gear that needs to be cleaned, priced, inventoried and put on display or added to stock for the fall and winter season. If you have always wanted to work in a ski and board shop, now is your chance to jump on board.

This can be a full or part time position depending on candidate needs.

Webmaster

Our main channel of business is online, and as such the health of our online sales channels is of the utmost importance. Utah Ski Gear is looking for a webmaster who is comfortable handling all the elements of our website and e-commerce channels. Duties include:

  • Website design and coding
  • Maintaining recommended SQL database size for our hosted server
  • Maintaining the health and speed of our website
  • Updating WooCommerce template files as updates roll out
  • Plugin customization
  • Troubleshooting issues as they arise

The ideal candidate has a strong background in PHP, Java, CSS, and is comfortable with SQL database interface, cPanel, AWS, WHM and dealing with 3rd party hosted servers. If you fit these requirements, don’t hesitate to put your name in for consideration!

Online Marketer for utahskigear.com

You will be taking care of growing sales online for our site: utahskigear.com. This includes providing customer service, answering emails, helping to increase online sales with internet marketing/SEO, aiding our international expansion program, packing and shipping orders, and customer support.

Backend E-commerce Ninja – Temporary Contract Position

The goal of this project is to reduce the load on our server and speed up our website so that we do not experience a crash during peak usage times during our selling season. Ideally, we would like to reduce the amount of plugins we use without losing functionality. Some issues we’ve experienced are:

  • Huge amounts of javascript and css files load on each page
  • Huge amounts of HTTP requests
  • Website crashes when more than 8 people use it during the holidays

Candidates should have:

  • Expert level knowledge in PHP, Java, & CSS
  • 3+ years experience creating and using child themes in WordPress
  • 3+ years experience with WordPress, WooCommerce
  • 3+ years experience with E-commerce development
  • Ninja style site-speed optimization practices
  • Additional e-commerce platform knowledge is a huge plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player

This is a temporary contracted position. You must have your own computer, internet connection etc. We will require face to face meetings to initialize and complete the project, with the possibility for additional meetings and phone calls for the project duration to analyze progress and troubleshoot.

Rental / Demo Manager.

For 2019/2019 Utah SKI Gear will again be offering a nice range of Demo performance skis and will be adding small and basic rentals to our offerings for the first time.

Ideal candidate will have previous experience as a rental manager or assistant manager, but we would also consider someone with experience as a rental tech looking to advance.

Sales Associates

We are looking for FT/PT and seasonal sales associates. Your duties would be to assist customers with questions they may have about skis, boards, boots, etc. Knowledge of skis and snowboards is a plus. You must be a team player and thrive on catering to varied clientele. We service everyone from families to powder hounds, so your ability to adapt to different situations is absolutely necessary. Count on being busy in our fast-paced environment.
This job requires basic computer skills and excellent customer service. You will be responsible for light housekeeping and taking inventory as well. You must be able and willing to work Saturdays.
