Sales Associates

We are looking for FT/PT and seasonal sales associates. Your duties would be to assist customers with questions they may have about skis, boards, boots, etc. Knowledge of skis and snowboards is a plus. You must be a team player and thrive on catering to varied clientele. We service everyone from families to powder hounds, so your ability to adapt to different situations is absolutely necessary. Count on being busy in our fast-paced environment.
This job requires basic computer skills and excellent customer service. You will be responsible for light housekeeping and taking inventory as well. You must be able and willing to work Saturdays.

Boot Fitter:

Experienced boot fitter wanted. Getting the proper fit for our customers is essential. We carry new and used equipment for all budgets and our boot fitter must be able to help individuals and families get outfitted quickly and correctly.

Gear Handler

Utah SKI Gear currently has 1 open position for the summer with the opportunity for advancement in the fall/winter.
This is an entry level position with lots of room for growth in our tightly knit and rapidly growing company.

During the summer we get new and used gear that needs to be cleaned, priced, inventoried and put on display or added to stock. If you have always wanted to work in a ski and board shop, now is your chance to jump on board.

This can be a full or part time position depending on candidate needs.

Sales Manger and Assistant Sales Manager

If you’re a motivated individual with prior retail experience, and you have a good grasp of ski and snowboard knowledge, then apply for our Sales Manager or Assistant Sales Manager position. You will take on a mid-level managerial role in our daily sales operations at our location in Sandy. This position requires the following experience:

General Manager

Due to 5 years of steady growth the owners of Utah SKI Gear are now taking applications for a General Manager for this ski season. This is a new position and could potentially expand to be year round.

Ideal candidate would have prior experience with:

  • Ski and/or snowboard industry knowledge
  • Managing/supervising
  • Genuine commitment to customer service
  • Extremely resourceful in setting up systems that work to help grow the business
  • Experience with eCommerce
  • Be available full time and be on call 24/7 as needed, with limited outside time commitments

Person must be dedicated, dependable and willing to put their heart, soul and full attention into this business.

Tune skis for customers and our personal fleet. Experience helpful but we will provide training for the right person.

Backend E-commerce Ninja – Temporary Contract Position

The goal of this project is to reduce the load on our server and speed up our website so that we do not experience a crash during peak usage times during our selling season. Ideally, we would like to reduce the amount of plugins we use without losing functionality. Some issues we’ve experienced are:

  • Huge amounts of javascript and css files load on each page
  • Huge amounts of HTTP requests
  • Website crashes when more than 8 people use it during the holidays

Candidates should have:

  • Expert level knowledge in PHP, Java, & CSS
  • 3+ years experience creating and using child themes in WordPress
  • 3+ years experience with WordPress, WooCommerce
  • 3+ years experience with E-commerce development
  • Ninja style site-speed optimization practices
  • Additional e-commerce platform knowledge is a huge plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player

This is a temporary contracted position. You must have your own computer, internet connection etc. We will require face to face meetings to initialize and complete the project, with the possibility for additional meetings and phone calls for the project duration to analyze progress and troubleshoot.
Required experience:

  • E-commerce programming: 3 years
  • WordPress: 3 years
  • CSS: 3 years

Tuning Manager and Assistant Tuning Manager

These positions will require you to make sure all skis are tuned to Utah Ski Gear’s standards. As a manager, you will be responsible for training and educating employees in our processes. You will need a functioning knowledge of how to use ski tuning machinery. You will also be called upon to perform scheduling maintenance, and keep track of inventory and supplies.

Online Sales Manager and Assistant Online Sales Manager

You will be taking care of the multi-platform online for Utah Ski Gear. This includes providing customer service, answering emails, helping to increase online sales with internet marketing/SEO, aiding our international expansion program, packing and shipping orders, creating new product listings, inventory, scheduling, and training. Strong computer skills are appreciated.

Online Sales Associates

We are looking for FT/PT and seasonal online sales associates. Your duties would be to pack and ship online orders, maintain inventory on the website and Amazon.com, and answer online customer questions.
